Chargers Lose to Bucs: The Interception

Here is a quick picture summary of WHAT NOT TO DO when your team is in position to tie the game with a field goal. Thanks again Philip for a KILLER interception.

The Bucs put pressure on Philip Rivers and Rivers extends the play by scrambling to his right. Any time you can get Philip to move his feet, the defense is happy. He isn’t Robert Griffin out there. He isn’t even Tom Brady when it comes to running the football. Philip may be the worst quarterback on the move.

As Philip is scrambling to his right, he misses seeing an open Antonio Gates in the middle of the field. As he gets closer to the sideline, it seems that he is just going to chuck the ball out of bounds and we are going to kick a field goal to tie the game, but Eddie Royal flashed open. Philip tried flip the ball over the defender to get the first down.

Perfect throw…. right to the defender! TOUCHDOWN!

Just another day in the life of Chargers fans.

We all knew that throw was coming…..what happened to him? Why does he make those terrible decisions that he never used to make? He used to be pretty clutch, now he’s the exact opposite. I have an idea. No more PR in the fourth qtr. let clipboard Jesus close it out! Ridiculous

I shared my thoughts on that today. Just posted.

It makes me sad. I remember when the Chargers went to the Superbowl with Natron. People were so excited. Even the fire trucks were covered with Charger gear. Everywhere–people were covered in Charger gear. Spanos, AJ, Norv and all have no idea how the fans miss this. It’s sad.
