At Least Chargers Found Another Starting Receiver in Danario Alexander

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

At least we found a number 2 receiver….or maybe he is the number 1 guy. Who knew Philip Rivers liked throwing to big receivers? I wonder what he could do with a receiver like Tampa’s Vincent Jackson?

Philip loves throwing the ball out to Malcom Floyd. He loves throwing to Antonio Gates. Now, he loves throwing to Danario Alexander!

Alexander made a spectacular play on the first drive of the game, breaking a tackle and then racing for an 80 yard score. Throughout the game, Philip looked in Alexander’s direction. He led the team with 7 targets.

He already looks like he is on the same page with Philip Rivers. IF he can stay healthy, he will be a nice compliment to M80 and Gates.

Slide Robert Meachem down the bench, because Alexander is not going to give up that job in the starting lineup. When Vincent Brown is ready to go, Meachem will have to slide even further down the bench. Meachem had one pass thrown in his direction for 8 yards. That is not going to get it done.

I like him… if Rivers hadn’t thrown that pick, and we had won that game… we would be GUSHING over this guy right now. Great street signing. Hope he stays healthy.
