Chargers Injury Report: Gaither Limited, Barnes Out

Having a Thursday night game really beat up on the team. The Chargers got back to practicing today after having Monday and Tuesday off and there were a number of players that were limited during practice.

Jared Gaither, Corey Liuget, DeMorrio Williams and Atari Bigby were limited in practice.

Antwan Barnes did not practice. He heard his hamstring pop on a play against the Chiefs and was not able to return. It may take some time before he returns to action. Luckily we still have Larry English to steal some snaps from Melvin Ingram.

Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal both fully practiced.

My question is how can one tell when Gaither is “slowed?” I can’t remember a time when he was full speed.

He may just be sore. Did you see that special teams hit he made on that return?!!! It looked like he almost knocked himself out making that brutal stop, as well as the returner! I definitely won’t question his tenacity after that play. Almost masochistic! Stay healthy, Bigby!

Hope he is working on that stamina.. Lol. He is still recovering from that groin injury. Staff is probably taking it easy with him. You definitely see the difference in our run game, and protection when we don’t have him lining up.

Yay… Royal is practicing! Welcome back return game! (anything has to be better than Weddle, right?) Didn’t see Carr on this report either.. So I assume he is returning too. Do you think Meachem will finally start balling, now that he has roster competition, is facing the player he was supposed too replace, and was ostracized after the Cleveland game? Hmmmmm.
