Chargers Planning to Stop The "Muscle Hamster"

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rookie RB Doug Martin tore up the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. TO’ UP!!! While it was awesome watching someone kick the tailfeather out of the Raiders, we knew that we had to face that little “Muscle Hamster” the following week.

Before we get any further talking about Doug Martin, we have to talk about his little nickname. His college teammates called him the “MUSCLE HAMSTER.” HOW CUTE!!!!! Muscle Hamster!!! At least he has a nickname, but that doesn’t really strike fear in anything.

That Muscle Hamster will be a big focus for the Chargers defense on Sunday. Against the Raiders last weekend, he finished with 251 yards rushing and FOUR touchdowns. He had touchdown runs of 45 yards, 67 yards, 70 yards and 1 yard. He was lazy on that last touchdown. He is ranked 3rd in rushing yards in the league behind Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson.

This will be one of our toughest challenges for the run defense this season. We have stopped Darren McFadden, Chris JOhnson, Jamaal Charles this season already, but it feels like everyone stops them. We had some troubles slowing rookie RB Trent Richardson a couple of games ago.

The guys will have to wrap up. Maybe he is still winded from working the Raiders. Maybe we can put him in a little spin wheel and all his running will get him nowhere.

He will be one of the top focuses for the Chargers defense. You all already know who the other one is.
