Want to know the book on the Chargers pass defense from the enemy sideline. Here is what Cleveland Browns TE Ben Watson said about the Chargers:
TE Watson sez SD def. vulnerable through air. “They bite on different things. They’re very aggressive guys and guys are able to get open.”

Does someone in the Chargers organization recognize the different things that each of these players bite on?
Atari Bigby wants to make the play against the run and will bite on the play action. Quentin Jammer wants to make a play on the ball after the receiver makes their first cut and will get burned on double moves. Antoine Cason tries to prevent the deep pass because he has been burned so many times, so he gives up the short routes. After getting beat on the short routes, he will try and step up to prevent those plays and will then get beat deep. Don’t even try and mess with Eric Weddle!
That’s the book. The good quarterbacks know how to attack it and exploit it. Will Brandon Weeden be able to find the holes?
