Chargers at Browns: Why The Chargers Will Win

Time to get back on the horse and get to those winning ways. What a nice way come off the BYE week. We are welcomed by the last place Cleveland Browns. Here are the reasons on why we will win this game:

Cleveland Run Defense
Cleveland cannot stop the run. IF the Chargers can stick to the ground game, they should be able to move the chains all game long. Give the ball to Ryan Mathews and let him tear that defense apart. Just hold onto the football!

Chargers Run Defense
Browns RB Trent Richardson is nursing a rib injury and has not been playing at top speed. Browns fans think that the injury is making him tentative to hit the holes. The Chargers are fairly stout against the run and they will be sure to put a good lick on him if he Richardson gets the ball. Stopping the Browns running attack will force the rookie QB Brandon Weeden to make plays in the passing game. Hopefully the pass rush will be able to force some ducks.

Antonio Gates
Gates finally showed some life this season, catching his first 2 TDs of the year against the Broncos. He disappeared in the second half of that game, but there were a lot of players that went silent in that second half. If he can build on that last performance, the offense can start to build some momentum.

Jared Gaither
The BYE week was good for Gaither. He has recovered from his groin injury and is out on the practice field. As long as some freak back spasm injury doesn’t sprout up, then he should be ready to go on Sunday. He is a difference maker when he plays. Philip should enjoy a little more comfort on his blind side and the running game should get a little bit more room to work with.

These are the Browns!
The Browns are young and fast and… and they are still the Browns!!!! They SUCK! They are a 1-6 football team that is dwelling at the basement of the league, positioning themselves for another top-5 draft pick. If we can’t beat the Browns, then there will not be enough CHILL PILLS in the world to keep us calm!
