Chargers Being Investigated For Using "Stick-Um"

Can this team just be quiet during the BYE week? How are we still in the news? Now the league is investigating the use of “stick-um” during the Broncos game:

Our @JayGlazer reports that a #CHARGERS trainer brought out hand towels filled with illegal “stick-um” during the game against the Broncos – @nflonfox

This is ridiculous!!!!

The receivers can’t catch the ball if it is thrown to the other team. Maybe that is why Ryan Mathews has not fumbled in the last few games.

Can we just get out of the news for a bit! I wonder how PR will spin this one? Take a chill pill!

Here is the real response from PR:

“We are aware of the inquiry and are cooperating fully with the League.”

If the Chargers are found guilty, they could be facing a loss of draft picks. I wouldn’t mind if they just suspended Norv Turner for the rest of the season.

The chargers will be cleared in this. It was a misprint by the company. The product the chargers actually used was SLICK-um, not STICK-um.

    • Ernie Padaon

      Hahahahahahaha… So good

  • ChargerGirl Cindi

Hold on, hold on. I do not remember any passes being caught in the second half. This cannot be true! See, my “chill pill” is working!

    • Tubbs45

They weren’t using the stick-um in the second half. Denver was actually using it on the chargers secondary’s cleats. This could explain deckers turf monster tripping!

  • 619chargers4life

this explains why jammer got some picks with one hand lol

    • Ernie Padaon

That might prove us guilty right there… Jammer caught th ball!

  • Craig Hammond

Is there any footage the NFL is basing this off, or did they see it behind the scenes?

    • Ernie Padaon

No footage that I know of… Just proof that the league hates us!

    • 619chargers4life

they said the confiscated the stuff during the game

  • Stefanie Smith

The NFL line official caught the guy and made him unload it. Then the guy went and told the Broncos. This is big. Spanos better can some people. Is this how low the Chargers have gone? Norv can’t lie. He knew about it, along with a lot of the players. Cheats. Real nice.

    • Stefanie Smith

I am a Chargers’ fan, but come on. If this is true, it’s cheating. And it is a new low for the Chargers. Bad enough we have to tolerate the lousy coaching and great players who leave by the droves, but cheating? Are we supposed to applaud this while we sit in the stands?

  • Stefanie Smith

The NFL is going to dig and see how long the Chargers were using this crap. Like it helped.

  • Pete Spinning

Wow… did they really get caught cheating? I can barely stomach the mediocre play… but, cheating? The punishment is a side note to me. Unless it was one player, and nobody else knew, I will have lost all respect for this organization.
What… were they REALLY passing it around the huddle or something? That’s what they were trying to make it sound like. I wanna know exactly what happened.. Because if it was.. then Philip, Gates, Hardwick, and Floyd all must have known… which would be disgraceful. I am not going to base my reaction off of what that tool-bag Jay Glazer says either… cuz he is awful, and it amazes me that he even has a TV career….. I want to see the facts first. Maybe they picked up another WR because someone is getting suspended? I hope this is being blown out of proportion.

I think the sticky substance came from Peyton Manning after he had his way with us

  • blu3ny3llow

    I say its atari’s fault

  • Stefanie Smith

All we had was a half-way decent reputation. The management even figured out a way to screw that up. Spanos better be calling in the U Haul for somebody real soon.
