When is Vincent Brown Returning?

Vincent Brown will be eligible to practice next week, but is his ankle injury healed up enough to practice?

Here is the latest report from Coach Turner on

“I don’t think we can put a game on (his return). He’s in the middle of his rehab, and he’s like any other guy who has an injury. He’s got to go one step at a time, and when you take one step, then you see where he’s at and you see if he can make it to that next step. He has not been on the field yet. It will be a while before we give you specific timing on when he’ll be able to play.”

That doesn’t seem as optimistic as we all would have liked. The recent signing of Danario Alexander also suggests that Brown might take longer than we would like.

Vincent Brown is going to be a nice addition to the offense WHEN he returns, but there still is no timetable. He can work his way into the starting lineup with other receivers on the roster struggling to get on the same page as Philip Rivers.

He could be a big playmaker on offense down the stretch. He has to get back on the field practicing first. Keep an eye on the injury reports in the coming weeks to see how he is progressing.

this was a huge blow. probably bigger then what we fans thought. i hope he comes back soon.

Would be glad to see V-Brown come back… but have you ever broken your ankle? Not an easy-quick recovery. It’s not like he is Castillo.. he is going to be a super-star eventually. But, let’s be real. Brown isn’t our savior. I like new signings, cuz it means they are trying SOMETHING else. If it is the right signing, is a whole nother discussion. But, Royal & Meachem ain’t doing squat… I’m willing to entertain any move at this point. Especially a tall one. NEXT!

  • Neil Harps

I think everybody is too hard on Meachem right now. I don’t think he is dominating as we expected but he had his man beat deep twice and Rivers has under thrown the ball.

    • Ernie Padaon

I agree with you on that one… Even the deep ball he caught in New Orleans was under thrown

      • arnie

Hold that thought. so that means PR is not able to step into his throws. why? he’s not getting the time. so an OL would be better to sign, than another busted up WR?

        • Anthony Mayberry

          Chris Williams buddy.

    Dear A. J.
Where are the signings to plug the hole in the O line? I just thought I would ask in case you wanted to respond as my Bolts falter and sink to the bottom of the division.

  • come on!!!

Once brown is back they could start becoming the old chargers we used to see
