On the last play of the game on Sunday, it was easy to spot Jared Gaither hobbling around with an injury. Chargers fans all hoped that it wasn’t his back injury flaring up again. Today we are learning that Jared strained his groin. The team is hopeful that he will be able to play against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night.
Remember when the team was hopeful that he could play for the first few weeks of the season? This will be something that we will have to watch AGAIN. Gaither is back on the injury report. That clean injury report couldn’t last that long.
There was fear that Gaither suffered a tear, but it is only being called a strain. Gaither and Nate Kaeding can talk about their sore groins together on the sideline.
Speaking about the last play of the game, Norv Turner says that he would rather have Gaither come out in that situation and that the player has to let the coaches know about the injury. Well, when you see your lineman hobbling around on one leg, you don’t need to wait for him to tell you he is hurt! That is one stupid excuse for not taking him out of the game!
No wonder Kris Dielman stayed in the game with a concussion. He didn’t let the coaching staff know.
