Philip Rivers - "We are not Satisfied"

Philip Rivers did a guest blog for the San Diego Chargers this week.   You can read the entire blog here.  But since you are here, I will give you the short version.

The team is at 3-1, but they are not satisfied with that.  They are working hard and want to accomplish a lot of wins this season.   When he is not at the Chargers facility he is with his wife and family.  His favorite things to do on days off are swim and play with his six children 10, 7, 6, 4, 2 and 1.    The kids love football and they watch games together as a family.  When he is watching other teams the kids will ask him who he is rooting for and his kids know they do not root for the Raiders, Broncos or Chiefs (that’s good parenting right there).

Philip loves living here in San Diego.  Reason #1 is the weather.  He also loves how he can get to the beach or the mountains in a short amount of time.

He is very close with his teammates.  In particular, he spends a lot of time with Clipboard Charlie, Hardwick, Gates and Floyd.   He talks about his coach, Norv Turner.  I will just add this quote and let you read the rest in his blog “I’m happy to have had the opportunity to play for him because he’s a great coach and what he’s done for this league speaks for itself.”

He signs off by saying thanks to the fans and keep coming out to games and being loud.  I agree, Boltup!

I am so happy for him, and his family. Not only do they have 6 of their own kids.. but, he has the Rivers of Hope foundation to help kids get adopted. That is such an awesome thing to do! I feel that most people who have 6 kids would not have time to help other chidren find a good home. I would LOVE to volunteer for them one day. I think it would be cool if we could get some folks on here to commit to that. They have a volunteer section on the site.. I think you just have to let them know what days you can do it = )

I see Rivers and i are on the same page! im not satisfied we beat KC cause we should have shut them out! giving up stupid plays (Like Cason to a wide open WR in the endzone should never happen!) we need to work on this passing game cause we know we can stop the run! and we need to get meachem the ball cause all hes doing is running down field! we need him on slants and curls or just screen him the ball! hes dangerous! LETS GO RIVERS WE NEED PERFECTION OUT ON THAT FIELD WEEK IN WEEK OUT!!!

  • Pels04

He should never be satisfied until he gets his ring. Even then, that satisfaction should only last a few months after that. One of the reasons i like him so much is i know that’s exactly how he feels

    • ChargerGirl Cindi

I agree and I feel the same way too.

  • Ernie Padaon

I still don’t understand how he functions with 6 kids. I have one and it is a ton of work… But SIX!!!!
