Drew Brees is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and on Sunday night he will have the opportunity to break a 52-year-old record that has been held by Johnny Unitas. Unitas and Brees both share the record for throwing a touchdown pass in 47 straight games. That is almost 3 seasons straight.
He gets the opportunity to break a record and get the team’s first win, all at the expense of his former employer.
Now, the Chargers will have to ruin the celebration on Sunday Night. Everyone expects Brees to break the record. Even former head coach Sean Payton was allowed to attend the game to witness the event.
This will be a challenge to the San Diego secondary. A challenge to the front 7 to put pressure on Brees. And a challenge to John Pagano to stop history.
Only one record matters to the Chargers. FOUR AND ONE!
Will Drew Brees break the record on Sunday Night?
