Jack Jack.... Denny Medley-US PRESSWIRE

Chargers Official Site Lists Jackie Battle As Number 1 Back

If you own Jackie Battle in fantasy football, just send the depth chart out to the rest of the league and let them know that he is available for trade. If you want to get Ryan Mathews, just send out the depth chart to the Mathews owner and let him know that he is now listed as number 2.

Ryan Mathews will get a chance to earn carries back. He is too good to be riding the bench behind Battle. Ryan is just getting eased back into the action and should get more carries against the Saints. If he fumbles though, then we might want to worry.

Battle will get thrown into the mix, but he will most likely take the role of goal line and short yardage back. Ronnie Brown looks like he will be the 3rd down back and will be a threat catching passes out of the backfield.

Let’s see how long Battle will be listed at the top of the depth chart. I guess that it will change again soon.

Know whats funny? I can’t argue with this. I am a FIRM believer, If they prove it you gotta let em play. No matter what. If you are winning why add start someone who has been out while you were winning? when in FACT putting that person back in the lead might help you LOSE! So, I guess… ummmm… I agree with Norv? Does that make me a bad football mind? lol

i like how they are making sure Ryan knows if he blows it we can go another direction. this is more fuel to Ryans fire. we got a big game this weekend. we don’t need that rock on the turf. i like Ryan but i also like how Norv is playing it. i honestly dont care who starts. all im worried about is us getting the win and Denver falling two games back in Foxborough …… GO CHARGERS

Absolutely ridiculous! All this does is solidify my thinking that the Chargers front office is not in the bussiness of trying to win Championships. Battle is a back-up talent and nothing more. How long is AJ going to keep #24 in the dog house, until the play-offs are out of reach? Thanks again AJ for your great managerial skills, and by manegerial I mean destructive.
