Chargers Could Sign Micheal Spurlock Back Next Week

The Chargers just recently played a carousel game with LT Reggie Wells, where he would be signed and released and signed again and released again. Wells is no longer on the roster after the carousel stopped when Jared Gaither found his way onto the field.

Now, the newest player that could be on for the ride on this carousel is WR Micheal Spurlock. Spurlock handled the release well and is going to stay in San Diego with his wife. The team told him that he could be signed back next week.

Now, who will be released to make room for Spurlock?

Put the rest of the roster on alert and let them know that if they fail this weekend, they could be on the chopping block. If Nick Novak has another good game, that could make Nate Kaeding more expendable.

Anyway, seems that the Chargers will not let Spurlock wander too far.

UPDATE (1:44 pm)

Nate Kaeding is on the practice field working on his footwork and stepping through kicking motion. Sounds like he may be ready to return fairly soon.

I don’t see Kaeding getting cut, unless his career was over. I think they would cut Brown or Brinkley before that. This team has lost too many pro-bowlers as it is. Not saying that I would (or wouldn’t) cut Kaeding if it were my decision.. just that AJ probably would not.
