Chargers Beat Chiefs: Dishonorable Dis-Charge

We put a beating on the Chiefs, but that doesn’t hide the performances from a few players on the team. Here are some guys that were MIA on Sunday.

Jarret Johnson
Check the stat sheet, where is Jarret? NO STATS from that game. NONE. Not sure how he pulled that off, even Larry English ended up on that stat sheet. Melvin Ingram on the other hand, had 5 tackles, one for loss and added another pass defense. That is his third pass that he has knocked down this season. Sooner or later, that will turn into an interception for the defense. When can we let the kid into the starting lineup?

Robert Meachem
Another game where Meachem plays the decoy deep threat. Philip Rivers tried to hit him deep again and ended up with another interception. It feels like this happens every time! At the very least, Meach has to get up and knock that ball down!

Maybe Jarett went to Subway? With Rivers to Meachem, this was more of a timing issue. If Rivers would have thrown the ball a second earlier and to the inside, Meachem could have caught it. I do agree that if it was Vincent Brown, he would have gone up for the ball and fought for it.

if philip and meachem could get that timing down this season, we will see some big time plays. meach hes been open deep on a few situations and the throw has not been there.

I may be being a little harsh here but im going to put Cason on this weeks list. He really hasnt impressed me much at all this year. 2 ints but honestly they both kinda just fell to him. Hes out of position on a regular basis and this week Bowe burned him on that 30 yrd TD with a double move. To his defense, he may have been expecting help over the top but there is no way he shouldve bit on that short rout.
