Around the AFC West: Broncos LB Joe Mays Gets Suspended 1 Game

Denver Broncos LB Joe Mays will be suspended for 1-game for his hit on Texans QB Matt Schaub. He was penalized for a roughing the passer penalty after hittting Schaub in the head on the play.

He blasted Schaub so hard that his his helmet came rolling off and I thought his head was rolling on the ground. I thought it was sleepy hollow all over the field.

Schaub was missing a chunk of his ear after the hit. Mike Tyson approved of the hit, but the league did not. Mays just had a roughing the passer penalty in week 2 after hitting Matt Ryan. He was fined that time, but a fine wasn’t enough this time around, so he will be getting suspended.

Go ahead and try it again Joe!
