Chargers vs Falcons: What to Watch

Here is a list of things to watch during the game:

NFL RedZone
Time Warner Cable just agreed to a deal with the NFL for the NFL Network and NFL RedZone, so there are no more excuses to missing out on part of the game.

America’s Funniest Home Videos
If you don’t have the NFL RedZone, then might as well turn to good ol’ America’s Funniest Home Videos. Can’t watch the game on TV, so you might as well put something to make you laugh and forget you are missing the game.

People Watch
Go out to the beach or the mall or somewhere and just kick it.

Oh, if you actually are attending the game or are going to be in an area that is not blacked out, here is what you can watch.

Mike Harris
He will be matched up with Atlanta’s best pass rusher John Abraham. Harris needs a strong performance and the Chargers offensive line will need to bully people around. Find a running game and give Philip Rivers time to throw the ball.

The Dynamic Duo Receiving Corps for Atlanta
They have two of the bet receivers in the league and a good quarterback to get them the ball. Will we be able to stop them? Antoine Cason and Quentin Jammer have a tough task on Sunday. It should be a good matchup for both of them.

Ryan Mathews
How many snaps will he pay? Will he be same ol’ Ryan Mathews or will be be hesitant? If he comes back to full form, then it could be a dominating performance by the offense.

Dick's Sporting Goods presents "Hell Week":

    Oh…what was that debacle????? We got Norv’d today….Next 3 games won’t be ez….Sigh!!!!!!!

    • Ernie Padaon

But was that really Norv’s fault?

      • arnie

No. but tell me, who’s responsible? either it’s the players Ernie, or it’s the coaches.
Norv didn’t fumble the ball, he does have the power to sit the player that does.
Norv didn’t throw those two pics. He does have the power to change the protection, the play designs, the schemes. if he’s done everything in his power to make this team better, then he needs better players. if the players are fine, then what?

      • James P Derrick

I didn’t see any changes made until it was already over….seriously, did they bring in a FB to ride the pine?? It was nice to see 85 & 24 back, but 24 was horrible pass protecting and looked confused….A coach can make adjustments & does make a difference…look @ them Aints…..ha ha…I know it’s only week 3, but that game really exposed, our beloved Bolts week faults……let’s see if they can improve…..

Glad I didn’t cough up my earned hard cash to see this game at the Q and even though I watched it through an “alternative” streaming site I still feel cheated. This team wasn’t prepared because there’s still the same lame duck coach. It feels like this is going to be another wasted year and even if they somehow make it to the playoffs, so what!, the team doesn’t feel like a winner, for example, why in the world would Norv Turner order a punt trailing by a lot in the fourth quarter with seven minutes remaining, WHY?!?. Oh well, I can’t expect more from the triumvirate of Rivers,Turner and Smith.

  • Pete Spinning

Yeah… back to the ole drawing board, AJ. That’s what good GM’s do Did I hear Hank say that Gaither was lifting weights? Is that new.. or has he been lifting my wife’s pink dumbells?

    • Ernie Padaon

First time I heard that. Lifting his fat butt up

      • Pete Spinning

Me too… but, I DID hear Hank Bauer say that. It was the only good news I took away from the weekend (except Denver losing). I want to know if that’s a new development, or if he has been doing light lifting the whole time, to stay in shape. I’m praying that watching his team get HANDLED like that puts a fire under his “professional” ass, and he shakes off this mystery back problem. The O-Line needs help… the kind of help we are (potnetially) paying 24.6 million dollars for.

“Alternative” is the key word in watching Chargers football. More fans are turning away from the event at the Q in order to save the shock to their wallets that attending a game costs. In this small market town with the economy in the bucket the Bolts are hard pressed to sell out games. Yesterday’s (the Falcons) game may have been the first of the possible (four total) games that are Blacked Out. The most outstanding factor is the product itself. If the Bolts are winning games and dominating their opponents then the fans will come back to watch – Live – the excitement of the game at the “Q” I believe this is the pivotal year where the team reaches bottom and we see new management and coaching next year. How can Dean Spanos be so stupid for so long? We shall see at the end of another dismal season – 2012.
