Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner Arrested For DUI After Monday Night Game

Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE

Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner was arrested last night, just hours after rushing for 42 yards and a touchdown against the Denver Broncos. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Turner could face discipline from the league, but Roger Goodell likes to wait till the legal process is completed. Turner will likely be available against the San Diego Chargers unless the team decides to take any action on him.

I’d say act now. Suspend him early. Let him come back Week 7.

He should be suspended for 1 game minimum. My five year old son kicked a boy in a game (totally not ok) and he got suspended for a week.

Suspension or not…. that still means he got drunk after the game, which went past midnight… went through the loop at county, and probably got ZERO sleep (maybe even got sick, as it’s freezing in there)… probably got released 8-12 hours later… is feeling like utter hell right now… it’s a Charger home-game against his ex-team.. it’s a short week of practice… with a cross-country flight, and a time-change involved.. Not to mention all the media hype, and general disappointment his peers must be feeling toward him.
That may play out in a negative way on Sunday, one would have to think… or hope, in our case = )

I think he hung out with VJAX for too long
