Shortly before the start of the Chargers’ home opener against Tennessee, the Chargers retired Junior Seau’s No. 55 jersey. Seau committed suicide in May at the age of 43.

Then the referee shook his head otherwise, ruling the ball hit the ground while Floyd completed the catch. The 7-yard first-quarter incompletion was upheld following a Norv Turner challenge.
