The Chargers signed CB Greg Gatson from the practice squad. Shareece Wright injured his ankle in the season opener and will not be able to play against the Titans. The corresponding move still has not been announced. Stay tuned to see who the Chargers release or send to the IR.

Gatson was with the team during the preseason and was brought on as an undrafted free agent. He wasn’t spectacular in the preseason, but he impressed the coaching staff during training camp practices. He has never played the nickel in his career and will likely be used in that position during games.

“I’ve never played nickel before, but I can play it,” said Gatson, who joined the team in April. “Whatever they need me to do, I can do it. Whatever they need me to do to help the team win, I’m willing to do it.” – UT San Diego
