Quentin Jammer – Ready for Sunday

I was fortunate enough to run into Quentin Jammer yesterday.  His hand and wrist were bandaged from surgery but he assured me that there wasn’t anything that he could not accomplish with his cast on, well, except a one handed INT.  Two handed interceptions are still doable.  He will be starting on Sunday and he will be making big plays.  (ok, I added the last part, but I’m sure it is true)

Another important thing I took away from our chat was that it is his thumb that had a piece of the bone break off.  He did not break his hand as has been incorrectly reported by other media.  Basically, the part of the bone that keeps your thumb connected to your hand had broken during the first half of the game at the Raiders.  His doctors did a little 45 minute surgery, put some pins in and he is good to go.  He is so tough that he said it didn’t even hurt.

I believe it didn’t hurt him.  In his casted hand he held his kids Gatorade bottle and a bag of snacks like it was no big deal.

Boltup and go buy a ticket to watch Jammer and the rest of your tough Chargers play this Sunday!
