Blackout Looming for Sundays Game!

The Spanos family chose not to take the NFL’s new rule that would reduce the minimum number of tickets that need to be sold to avoid a blackout.  As a result, our first home game of the season could be blacked out.

According to U-T San Diego, several thousand tickets still need to be sold to avoid the blackout.  Charger fans need to scoop them up before 1:25 TODAY!

Will the Chargers buy the unsold seats at 34 cents on the dollar and save the day?  Will a local business buy them?  Or will fans go online right now and get some tickets to what will be an amazing football game and tribute to Junior Seau.  Remember, it’s the sea of white and #55 retirement.

I love your passion. Unfortunately, our friends at stubhub are selling previously purchased tickets. Folks gotta go directly to the Chargers office or chargers.com to make it count.

Why can’t the NFL lift the ban to honor a fallen player? What bullsh!t

Good point. If the Spanos’ do not buy out the game I will lose what little respect I have left.

There wont be a black out. When there is anything less then 3,000 tickets left, some business buys them out. CBS will lose more money not airing the game, then buying the remander of the tickets. The NFL will announce that there is an exstention until tomorrow, and then say enough tickets have been sold to lift the blackout. I just dont understand why more people don’t want to go. The opening game is the best time of the season. The Grills are fired up, beer is ice cold, and the lines to the Porta-Potties are far as the eye can see. I love the smell of tail gateing in the morning…..It smells….like victory.

Yep. Extension granted. 2,100 tickets need to be sold. :-)
