Chargers Beat Raiders: Earning Their Lightning Bolts

Here are a few players that stood out in last night’s game for their performance:

Nate Kaeding
Norv Turner definitely has Nate on his fantasy team!! I love what Nate did last night, but it is not a great thing that he is the first guy in this post. It just means that we could not get the ball in the end zone and had to settle for field goals instead. Nate did an awesome job on the kickoffs, pinning the Raiders offense deep. He did shank one, but it rolled out to the end zone. Sometimes you get lucky!

Shaun Phillips
A pair of sacks in the game from SP95 to get him off to a nice start for the season. The defense had their ears pinned back and ready to chase after Carson Palmer toward the end of the game and he was the first one to get to the quarterback.

Donald Butler
Butler led the team in tackles and added a sack to his stat line. This kid is going to get better and better.

Who were your standouts for the game?

Defense looks way better than last year! They’ll get better as the season progresses. Last time I saw a decent player wearing # 91 in a Bolts uni was Leslie O’Neal….I saw Kendall Reyes doin’ what we drafted him for last night. Luiget was Legit too.
Love that Meachem finally got connected with Rivers….I’m a little worried Norv still has that running play right up the gut that keeps getting snuffed out…
Let’s hope the Offense can get more TDs in the Red Zone vs Field Goals next week. I know it was the Black Hole…Great W! I’d like to see the Chargers put it on these Faiders again when they come to the Q…Go Chargers!!!

have to agree with Liuget. He is showing off that 1st round draft pick form.

  • Saul Lopez

I actually saw a pass rush!!!!!!! So excited!!!!!!!!

Front 7 were amazing. Referees mistook Jammer’s great coverage with Interference; thought he was much improved from last year. Eric Weddle made a couple of great tackles too. On offense: Harris picked a great time to play his best game so far and Malcolm Floyd was catching everything. Let’s rock the Titans next week!

Ingram sure does like to hit.
