Chargers at Raiders: Why the Chargers Will Lose

Injuries
The undrafted rookie left tackle, Mike Harris, will be making his first start in a hostile environment and will have Richard Seymour to deal with on Monday Night. The Raiders will throw everything they can at the kid. Ryan Mathews will likely be sitting on the sideline and Ronnie Brown will have to step it up big time.

Slow Starts
The Chargers still have not figured out how to get out of the gates. We won games at the beginning of last season, but it still felt like a slow start. The wins were ugly and it was a struggle. Can we turn this thing around this time?

Darren McFadden
McFadden is one of the best backs in the league and the Raiders have pounded the ball down our throats on multiple occasions. It will not be easy to slow him down. The Chargers may need to keep extra people up at the line of scrimmage, but that will make the defense vulnerable to the long ball. Remember how Dennarius Moore toasted Quentin Jammer last season.

Norv Turner
Good ol’ Norv Turner! There is nobody like Coach Turner that can keep our expectations low.

Philip Rivers
Wasn’t he on the ‘Why the Chargers Will Win’ article? Which Philip Rivers will we see this season? 20 interception Philip OR the stud that used to play for us.
