Question Marks for the San Diego Chargers Season

After making so many changes in the offseason (except the change all the fans wanted), there are question marks that surround the San Diego Chargers. Here are a few question marks that we were not able to erase during the preseason:

Norv Turner – Always have to start out this list with Coach Turner. He is the biggest question mark on the team. How will he screw up the team this year? Can he turn things around? The Chargers have missed the playoffs the last couple of seasons and fans place a large portion of the blame on Coach Turner’s shoulders. Will he be able to get us all off of his back?

Philip Rivers – Philip never used to be a question mark for the team, but after the season he had last year, there are some that are beginning to wonder. Why has he become turnover happy? Is he starting to regress as a quarterback? Can he turn back into the quarterback that we know and love?

Jared Gaither – Remember that left tackle we brought in last season that sparked the offense? Well that guy got paid and turned into a lazy left tackle that gets “whole body cramps” and back spasms. Will he stop playing games and get back on the football field? Is he even injured? Will we have to rely on an undrafted free agent to protect Philip’s back side for the rest of the year?

Health – Why does this seem to be an issue every season for the Chargers? Because it is the NFL, that’s why! People get hurt and we already have some key injuries to start out the year. Vincent Brown is out for half the year. Ryan Mathews made his annual trip to the injury report already and Jared Gaither might as well place a ‘Q’ next to his name for the entire season. Injuries are going to happen, but will we be able to overcome the injuries that we have?

What other question marks do you have for the Chargers this season?

All valid concerns, especially #1. Even NFL Network analysts are starting to point out his inability to do anything.

Will our secondary play ok and not have to cover rec for 10 seconds bc we gotta better pass rush? It was a sad day last year when Plaxico had 3 tds against us! BOLT UP!!!

Plaxico destoryed us!!! and you made me think of another one. which receivers will step up for the Chargers this year? Floyd? Meachem? Royal? ANYONE?

does mcclain blow up some holes for whomever is toting the rock? letting hester go speaks to the team’s desire to get back to lo-neal form at the fb position no?

Our pass rush is ok, but can our defense do enough against the run, e.g. against someone like Darren McFadden?
Will Jammer, Wright & Cason play the whole season, if not, who will? Same ol´story: CB depth.
Rivers-Meachem connection: Will they get their sh#t together..
