San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews Returns to Practice

San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews returned to practice today. Not sure if he is ready to take a hit yet, but he is out on the practice field trying to prep for the game Monday Night against the Raiders.

Mathews has been impressive in his road back to recovery. He has said all the right things and seems that he is making the effort to get back on the field. Can’t say that same thing about one of his injured teammate, Jared Gaither.

I would love to see Mathews back on the field against the Raiders, but he needs to be sure that he is all healed up and doesn’t suffer any setbacks when he does gat back. When he does return, he will be a huge boost to the offense.

This may shake the Raiduhs game plan as they do not know if Mathews is playing.

Good call. With them having new parts to that coaching staff, any uncertainty is good.

That’s good news but, don’t rush back and reinjure yourself. BOLT UP!!!

At least he is standing by his word and making a great effort. Hopefully, he is really ready and not rushing this thing. His health comes first. I admire his tenacity.

Nice forward progress. I really hope he is giving himself enough time to heal.

Take your time Matthews. I just hope we get a full offensive line. And Gaither wasn’t so much of a china doll

That was a nice word you used for Gaither

Would love to see him play his first game this year…..against Tennessee.

Matthews playing against the Raiders is a mistake. Rushing back from an injury like that is a foolish call. If Norv lets this kid play he will just be solidifying the idea that he is trying hard to not lose his job. The Bolts have better running backs on the roster. A. J. must have put the “arm” on Norv to play his choice in the # 1 selection in the draft. Another foolish mistake.
