49ers 35 - Chargers 3: That Was Ugly

That stadium in San Francisco looked bare before the game. We are not the only team that has a problem selling preseason tickets at full season prices. Plus this game started at 7 o’clock!

The San Francisco 49ers ran the ball down our throat on the first drive. A good pass rush wont stop the run. The defense did not look pretty the first half.

The Chargers had two offensive drives in the first quarter and they just gave fans more doubt about the offense. Both drives ended in a turnover. Antonio Gates fumbled the ball on one drive and Philip Rivers added to his interception total for the preseason. Luckily that interception count resets after this game. Our confidence doesn’t reset though.

Philip Rivers had time to throw the ball. The offensive line did well blocking for him. Rivers did roll out to the left and he must have ought he was Steve Young and threw the ball left handed. SIGH!! Remember when we questioned his decision making? Still questioning.

Eddie Royal made a catch!!!

The biggest highlight of the first half for the Chargers was Charlie Whitehurst flipping his hair.

Ronnie Brown looked alright running the ball. He found some holes and made some things happen.

I want to vomit!

In the end, it is just preseason. I won’t fly off the handle for the play in a game that doesn’t count. I will wait for week 1 before I lose my mind.

Charger Fans; Lets hear it for drafting and goig after some freeagent O-linemen. Hell no we need a defense. Well those of you that said our defensive players needed upgraded badly here’s to you, you were right. Because with a lousey O-line Rivers will continue to try and make something happen and those int’s are going to call for a depp defense. Yep our O-line is looking like it’s been downgraded every year Turner has been here. And all that hope that Turner will open that super playbook, NOOOOOOOT!!!!!! Same ol same ol and Spano’s has been flying the Smith/TurnerOverdrive Flag high and mighty now that it looks like the Chargers have the defense to contiend with. Molk and a broken 7th round pick to fill out our O-line. All you that begged for a defensive draft and freeagent off season pull your heads out of your butts and notice; A Great Team starts with a Great O-line, without it your backs go no where and your QB feeds on grass every play. Now I understand the fans loyal to Spanos and his Smith GM are really pretty smart, they are going to take us places. To Los Angeles, City air causes brain damage apparently. I’ll continue to be one of those dump fare weather Charger Fans that think that hurting our 1st team players in preseason is wrong. You got me there! We didn’t need are guys healthy to start the season. How stupid can I be.

    Ready.. get set… terrible.

    Go Chargers!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least the Raiders sucked too. Not as much as we did, but there´s nothing shiny for a 3-21 loss too. So it´s good to have the Raiders in the 1st game, cause after all, if we can beat the Raiders (and we can do that), then we are all heated and positive again.
And regarding players on the bubble: Guess only Bird stepped up.
    Still bolted up! Go Chargers!

Wow I had to work so I set the DVR for this….Is it even worth watching?
I am worried about the O-Line. If Pre-Season is used to prepare for the Regular Season and this is the product Norv and Co. are putting out, I’m worried for them….
Ride or Die, I’ll watch and enjoy the ride no matter how turbulent it may be…Go Chargers
