Last week, San Diego Chargers undrafted roookie tackle Mike Harris had one of the toughest one-on-one matchups he will see. BUT it still was just preseason and there will be all kinds of things thrown in his direction when the games start to count.
He lucked out a couple of weeks ago, when Demarcus Ware sat out on the sideline with an inury. He still has to face players like Von Miller and Tamba Hali multiple times in our division.
Tomorrow’s matchup against the San Francisco 49ers will be his final preparation for the regular season and he gets another tough matchup. Aldon Smith is one of the top up and coming youngsters in the league, finishing with 14 sacks last season.
Harris needs a good showing Thursday Night to give the fan base some confidence. Shut out Smith and bust open some running lanes for Ronnie Brown and we can feel a little better about the offense in the opener against the Raiders.
