The San Diego Chargers’ return to practice Sunday was a little a shaky. More than 100 small (1.5) to moderate (5.4) earthquakes rumbled through Brawley, Calif., about 130 miles east of San Diego. A few of the larger quakes rattled Chargers Park, but didn’t affect practice.

San Diego received a scare when Chargers OLB Melvin Ingram (first round, 18th overall) left Friday’s preseason game against the Vikings with an injury, but Ingram is confident he will be ready for the season opener.

Though at least one expert would not have been surprised if San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews could be out until October with a broken clavicle, the 2010 first-round draft pick out of Fresno State has been adamant about being back for the season opener against the Oakland Raiders.
