It is cut day in the NFL, so Chargers players that have not been performing up to par are on high alert. The first cut of the day for the San Diego Chargers is WR Roscoe Parrish:

Good news for Richard Goodman, Mike Willie and Micheal Spurlock. Spurlock looks like a lock to make the roster, but Goodman is right on the bubble with other receivers performing well in camp.
Here is the list of players that were released today by the Chargers:
WR Jason Barnes
WR Taylor Embree
WR Phillip Payne
DT Eddie Brown
LS Nick Guess
RB Michael Hayes
TE Brad Taylor
OT Phil Trautwein.
The Chargers reached injury settlements with a few players:
DT Garrett Brown (waived)
OT Michael Toudouze (outright terminated)
Johnnie Troutman was placed on the “Reserve-Non-Football Injury” list and Brandyn Dombrowski was placed on the “Reserve-Non-Football Illness” list.
It doesn’t look like there were any big surprises with the cuts. Taylor Embree is a player that did well, but didn’t fit the numbers game. Mike Willie is still hanging around.
