Vikings Do Not Plan To Play Adrian Peterson On Friday vs Chargers

According to Adam Schefter , the Vikings do not plan on using Adrian Peterson on Friday:

There were thoughts that he could see some game action, but that looks like it will have to be put on hold. All you fantasy folks will have to wait another day to see if he can still move.

The Chargers defense will have to test their run defense later down the line. This just means that we can blitz the quarterback more, hopefully.

He may argue but minnesota is smart. Something that Turner should have considered but didn’t. it’s something all NFL teams should consider as injurys are going to happen in the preseason for reasons I’ve stated. Anyone can see the mindset for veterans and rookies/freeagents are going to differ. When you’ve got a job and the game isn’t for keeps your playing to gain some insight, the rookies/freeagents are playing to earn a job, bad combination. This is why every year a team will lose alot of their great players in the preseason. Wise-up coaches, the preseason is for making a team, and should be cut to 2 games.

I really wasn’t worried if AP played, or not. Despite his record setting game against us previously… he did zipola against us last year in the opener.. neither did McNabb. Sit his ass, or JJ will make you pay! Go Boltz!

Great topic! Very informative. That’s maybe the Viking don’t wan’t some trouble to the other field so they say they won’t let AP to play. Also, if AP play he must be in a patient mode. Thank you.
