Buffalo Bills Release Former Charger Shawne Merriman

Shawne Merriman was a stud for the San Diego Chargers when he came into the league.

Ever since he got injured OR ever since he got caught using steroids, he has never been the same player. People still like to argue whether his decline was because of the injury or the steroids, but that decline was fast.

The Buffalo Bills have released him today. He will be looking to resurrect his career with some other team that runs a 3-4 defense. Don’t even think that the San Diego Chargers will look in his direction though.

Where does he end up?

My first thought was Miami too. They need a lot of help right now.

Houston…count on it! Wade loved him!

Probably the Jets. It seems like a no-brainer, unless their policy on signing washed-up players has changed.

It will be Houston for sure, although i would not hold my breath that he will do anything once he gets there.

I don’t see how can any team picks him up. He offers no value outside a leadership role and he’s banged up. Sorry to say this but it’s best for him to hang up his cleaths and go for a coaching job or something else.

  • Kenny Redman

I’m going with the Patriots. Belichick is notorious for picking up castoffs.
