Chargers Hoping Vincent Brown Will Be Back In Second Half of Season

According to Kevin Acee, Vincent Brown could be back in the second half of the season and the Chargers will keep him on the 53-man roster. This reminds me of what the Chargers did with Luis Castillo last season. Brown will take a roster spot, but he will not be available to play till later in the season (hopefully).

Brown had surgery on his left ankle today. There may have been some slight ligament damage, but the recovery time still has not been specified. When he does return, we don’t know how effective he will be this season. Hope surgery went well and that he can still make big things happen this season.

Im more pissed about this than the mathews injury I hope they go after the dude that tackled him in their joint practice…fucking scrub got beat whats the point of holding on to someones leg….argghhhh mother fucker!!!

    • arnie

which leads to the question, why is Vincent Brown playing with the scrubs to begin with?

Bad move. The Chargers have plenty of talent to fill that spot and Let Brown not only heal, but rehab his ankle into “playing shape”. What’s the reason to hurry him back AJ? isn’t AJ supposed to be doing a great job, getting all this talent? Floyd, Mecham, Royal? i’ll tell you. Floyd has never, “Never” stayed healthy for a 16 games season. Much less an entire game. Mecham can’t seem to connect with Rivers. And Royal? haven’t seen him. tell you what AJ, let’s see how far Rivers can throw a pass. let’s say to Tampa Florida? I think Rivers lobbied to management, to have the Wrong person retained.

I love VIncent Brown. I wish him a quick recovery. However, this is Castillo all over again. Taking a roster spot away from someone who can help us out on Sunday is much more important than trying to hurry back a guy who not only broke his ankle but appeared to have ligament damage, too. Don’t let that quack Chao ruin another Charger’s career. PUT HIM ON IR NOW!

Isnt there a new rule of being able to bring a player back from IR???????…..Or something like that….

Vincent Brown would hyave been our secound best reciever, but thnaks to Turner playing our best players in preseason when it doen’t count were injuring all our guys early. When will these coaches learn that putting in 1st team players against newly aquired free agents and draftees is dangerous. When someone is trying to make a team they’ll do anything. Would Brown be tackled that deep in the enzone in the regular season, who knows, but taking chances like this when adrenalin is running high, guys are taking roids for the edge of making a team, and a cheap shot might get you on a squad with some coaches, it’s rediculous to play our 1st layer of players. Brown should have never been in there aftwer the 1st qtr. Now were down 2.

Man, Vincent Brown is our future! He´ll be the next #1 WR for Rivers. Rivers connects very well with Brown.
I really had great expectations in V.Brown. I thought he´ll surprise them all (except those who believed he´ll rock lol).
I wish him all the best & I´m confident he´ll do a great job for the defending Super Bowl champ next season ;)
