On The Bubble: Richard Goodman

The Chargers brought in a handful of kick returners this offseason with the signing of Eddie Royal, Micheal Spurlock and Roscoe Parrish. We already had a decent returner in Richard Goodman on the roster, but now he is in jeopardy of losing his spot on the team.

Goodman was 7th in the league  last season in kick return yard average,  averaging 27.5 yards per kickoff return.  Spurlock only returned 2 kickoffs back last season and Parrish did not return any.

Parrish and Goodman have had to do work on the side for the majority of training camp, trying to recover from injuries. While they are rehabbing, Spurlock is taking valuable reps with the team at kick returner and in the slot.

Goodman better heal up soon because Spurlock has a firm nice on the roster spot and there is no competition for him right now.

Say it isn’t so! :-( Goody broke a record in a game against the Raiders. He loves being a Charger and we need to keep him.
