Mike Harris vs DeMarcus Ware… Just a Little Scared

Game 2 of the NFL Preseason is on Saturday for our Chargers and the starters should play all the way till halftime. OT Mike Harris is included in that list of starters and he will get the lovely assignment of keeping 4-time All-Pro LB DeMarcus Ware off of Philip Rivers. A little piddle came out thinking thinking about that assignment for the kid.

Ware is just the NFL Sack leader in 2010 and 2008. Only finished 2nd in the league last season with 19.5 sacks. Just ranking in at 6th in sacks on the active player list. Nothing to worry about at all!

Mike Harris and his ZERO career NFL starts will have all of our eyes this weekend. Philip needs to leave this game in one piece and Harris will be a huge huge factor in making sure that happens.

If Harris can get the job done on Saturday, my confidence on the left side will feel a tad bit better. I probably will continue my frustrations on Jared Gaither though.

our backs and tight ends need a big game this weekend from a protection stand point with some good chip blocks by the tight ends. same way we did the Ravens last year. i know Dallas isnt the Ravens but we need to use that same scheme.

Seriously!!! this is why Randy McMichael will make the team! He is the best blocking tight end that we have and we have a rookie starting in a key spot. Gonna have to use extra people to keep Ware off of Philip!

Maybe we just play Philip in the second half and put in the Clipboard to be the stunt double.

I’ve watched the first preseason game vs GB 5 times now. We “helped” to the left side on the majority of pass plays. Although it takes either a TE, RB, or additional O-lineman to do so, it better happen.
But hey, it’s just DeMarcus Ware. Ugh.

They will pull this off and Ware will go back to Oxnard worn out and I’m going to be there to witness it first hand!!!

Time for Mike Harris to step up and show Norv something. The left side has been decimated already. If he stands in and shows that he can stand up a DeMarcus Ware, how far does that go to locking up a roster spot?

So Mike, go out there and wear DeMarcus out!

Really wanna see what he can do with no help…..but then again don’t wanna see PR get hurt

I know right… wanna see if he has what it takes so we can open up the offense, but don’t want to risk Philip for it
