McNeill was drafted by the Chargers in 2006 in the second round and was a 2x Pro Bowl left tackle for the team. His last couple of seasons, he had been slowed with neck injuries and the team released him in the offseason with the arrival of Gaither. He never caught on with another team and today hung the pads up.
This offseason, the Chargers lost both guys on the left side of the offensive lineman to retirement. Kris Dielman and McNeill both seem to have it short their career due to injuries.
