Chargers Sign a Pair of Tackles with Gaither Still Sidelined

Jared Gaither has practiced once since training camp has started. Mike Harris and Mario Henderson are getting a bulk of the reps out at left tackle, so the Chargers needed to add more depth out at the position. To add more depth, the Chargers signed veteran tackle Anthony Davis and Michael Toudouze to one year deals today.

Since I am at the Grand Canyon right now, will update the info when I get back to the hotel.

The Grand Canyon is AWESOME!!! If you have never been there before, you have to go check it out. It wasn’t my first time and it won’t be my last!

Anyway, the Bolts added a couple of tackles to the roster since Gaither can’t shake this back injury. Both the tackles were not in the league last year, just like every other backup left tackle we have on the roster. Mike Harris is an undrafted free agent, Mario Henderson was out of the league last season and these two new signees couldn’t make an NFL squad last season either. Maybe we trust Harris enough, but we really need Gaither to get back on the field.

I’m not liking the sound of this. the team kept saying no problem, no problem now they are signing 2 tackles. Is Gaither really injured or up to his old tricks?
