Corey Lynch making a strong push for roster spot

One free agent pickup that is making a strong push for a roster spot is safety Corey Lynch, Lynch is one of those Rich Bisaccia players from Tampa that plays a strong special teams and can help the thin secondary. Michael Gehlken of the SDUT is already saying that he will make the final roster, but it seems a little early to claim that, especially a team that has a lot of tough roster decisions to make. Watch him on special teams and in the secondary this Thursday and we might see what kid Gehlken sees.

You’re right Ernie. Although it is a “good problem” to have, there will be some VERY tough decisions to make.
We will be forced to cut some good players and, in turn, watch them go on to play in other unis. A.J. and company have their work cut out for them.

Never understood the issue with cutting good players and how it could possibly be considered a problem. Every coach on every team, no matter what level, would always want more than he ever needed. You can’t keep everybody, so at least make the roster deep enough to choose from a much more talented pool. I don’t know? Common sense, I guess. And if any fan is so concerned with a player leaving and achieving success elsewhere, well, that’s a you problem. AJ never looks back. I have tremendous respect for that, and guess what – so do the players.

As far as Corey Lynch is concerned – just YouTube “Greatest Upset in college football history.” He’s a winner. I am certainly rooting for him, and as soon as the fans get to know him, they will have tremendous respect and adoration for him. Plus, he married Billy Graham’s granddaughter. Grounded to the core. He’s a football player, great leader, and an outstanding locker room presence. Even Philip could learn a thing or two from him and he would be the first to agree with my sentiments. Like I said… Winner! Creates turnovers, impacts games. [ASU 34 | Mich. 32]

Dont see why they need five safeties……hope they dont choose him over stuckey

if it’s that close, maybe they should make a change? Stuckey should be separating himself from Lynch. if Stuckey hasn’t, being the player that’s been here longer, i could see AJ going with the “better” player, that is versatile.

A extra safety that is a special teamer is good for us. Alittle more speed and great tackling beats seeing one run away returner this year.
