Eddie Royal Likely To Miss Preseason Opener

We will have to wait a little longer to see one of the new toys on offense. Eddie Royal will likely miss the preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers with a strained groin. He is expected to be out 1-2 weeks with that groin issue (SDUT).

Roscoe Parrish, Michael Spurlock and Mike Willie will get more opportunities to fight for a roster spot with him sitting the sideline. Royal had a lot of buzz coming out of OTAs but that has since slowed down with training camp.

Royal is expected to be the starter in the slot, but injuries have dragged him down in his career. If he is healthy, he could be awesome, but we are still waiting to see him on the field.
