Chargers in Search of Quarterback Again After Kyle Boller Calls it Quits

Kyle Boller signed a contract after Charlie Whitehurst went down with an injury. He was supposed to help the team out during training camp and was most likely going to get cut after camp. It could have been used as an audition for other teams around the league, but Boller would rather call it quits. I guess the competition was too tough?

The Chargers are right back in the market looking for a backup quarterback that can be used in training camp and in the preseason. Charlie Whitehurst will be the backup quarterback for the team when he returns from injury, so the job that the Chargers are offering is an audition. Who will be next?

Nice going A. J., I told you yesterday to call Billy Volick, he knows the offense and can run out of the pocket, unlike Rivers. I hope this is your last year in San Diego and thanks for screwing up a really good team.

AJ did call Volek. They offered him a 1 year deal at the QB minimum. Volek told them to come back with a better offer. I do not blame him, he is owed an apology and then some.

        Dear Cindi
Thank you for your retort; A. J. Smith is still an arrogant fool who has done more to ruin a great team of the mid 2000′s. With his “problem” with Marty to his bad draft choices. The only reason he is still with the Chargers is the fact that Dean Spanos has no clue on how to evaluate true talent when it comes to who should manage the Bolts franchise. Furthermore Spanos decided to extend the contracts of Smith and Turner for less than stellar results. This is not the Giants or the Steelers that have ownership that is “tuned in” when it comes to running their respective teams.Do not expect the Bolts to get to the promised land until Spanos finds proper management of the team.
