Ladarius Green Ate Everything He Could and Gained 3 Pounds

I drive by a McDonalds and I gain 3 pounds just from the smell!

Chargers rookie Ladarius “Pee Wee” Green has been asked to bulk up in order to compete in the NFL as a tight end. He currently is 6-foot-6 and 241 pounds, gaining 3 pounds this off-season.

“(I) eat everything I can. Mostly pastas, steak, potatoes, vegetables, mostly healthy (food), but I gotta go out sometimes. Burger King, something like that. I snuck one in.”  - Ladarius Green (North County Times)

Maybe he needs to get on that Vince Wilfork diet.

Don’t know what the ideal weight is for Green, but for comparison, Antonio Gates is 6-foot-4, 260 pounds. Rob Gronkowski is 6-foot-6, 265 pounds. There still is work for him to do.

He will be a weapon catching the football, but he will also need to help out blocking also if he is to remain a tight end.

Anybody have a diet plan for him?

I have the perfect weight gain plan for him… It’s called old age! Although this might not work best for an NFL TE, it worked for me! I’m excited about his game. Still a little bitter about how he did my Aztecs in the New Orleans Bowl.

This guy will be great in a double TE set with the play action near the goal line his size won’t help him with blocking but he can help at WR sometimes.
