Which New Charger Are You Looking Forward to Seeing the Most?

New names are littered across the Chargers roster after a busy offseason in free agency and after our selections in the draft. Of all the new players in town, which one are you looking forward to see most in their new Charger colors?

Here are some of the candidates:

Melvin Ingram
Melvin slipped in the draft and we were the lucky team to get his services. He has an aura of toughness that surrounds him and he will be one of the guys that will help bolster up this defense.

Jarret Johnson
Double J is our biggest defensive free agent pickup in the offseason. He is not a flashy name, but he has the respect of all the guys on that Baltimore Ravens defense. He will be a difference maker.

Eddie Royal
All the buzz during the OTAs surrounded Eddie Royal and the new dimension that he could bring to the offense. Once he gets the ball in his hands, he could… go… all… the… way (ready for Chris Berman and our Monday Night Football opener!!).

Robert Meachem
The former first round draft pick will finally get his chance to be a starter. He is another newcomer that brings speed and agility to the offense.

Le’Ron McClain
Can’t wait to see the first time that he blows up a linebacker in the hole and puts him on his back! He is another player that brings an attitude to the team.

Which players are you looking forward to see the most?

I cant choose….I feel like that guy on “The RunningMan”. Buzzsaw or Dynamo….I just cant choose. The homer pick is Ingram, but all these players are bringing much needed help.

No answer check, but I’m really looking forward to seeing Le’ Ron Mclain blocking for Mathews and see what we have to look forwars to. I’ll be shocked if Shaun Phillips isn’t in the starting line-up but not surprised if he isn’t. On a Smith GMed team if he’s excited about a pick and he wants him to play even if the other player beats him out he’ll play. All starters from last year ought to start unless they were replaced by them leaving the team.

  • JanSanDiego

@chargersbuzztap Melvin Ingram! Looks like he’s gong to be a strong contributor to the line.

  • Trong Lam

How bout the entire team working as ONE for the NEW season…?

  • BoogaP

The best part of this article is the comments section.

When I say that, I mean that everybody has a different player in mind; for the most part.

Meaning we have added a great group of players.

I’m looking forward to seeing all on the list. I also like to include LB Jonas Mouton. Injured last year…hopefully motivated to prove himself this year. Looking forward to him and Butler to anchor the LB situation. #BoltUp!!!

  • Bolts_NFL_music

Yeah it´s hard to pick one, because there has been so much talk bout nearly everyone on the list, so that I´m really excited to see each of them. But the most hype (besides SupaMelvin) has been created around Eddie Royal. So therefore I´ve to say I´m most excited to see what he can do in the slot. Comments from Norv like “He´s one of the greatest players I´ve ever coached” (…or similar) – that naturally gets ya interested. BOLT UP!

@Bolts_NFL_music Couldn’t have said it any better my self

@Bolts_NFL_music  Couldn’t have said it any better myself

  • Davacho

    antwan barnes

  • Jordan Lamm

    Royal, Ingram, or Ladarius Green

  • Bleu

I think I got to pick an offensive players and defensive players. offense im expecting robert meachem to ball out this season. alot of critics hating on the man like he some type of downgrade or something. the chargers did not downgrade, by losing VJ they actually upgraded. we have a nice passing game with vj but the acquisition of meachem and royal has given use more of a versatile passing attack. defensively im taking melvin ingram because I expect for barnes to be great, jj to be grest and shawn phillips to return to forms as well as donald butler to improve on the solid season he just had. ingram being our first round picks I got high expectations ……

  • Cameron_Statler

@BB_Chargers Gates without a doubt. Rumor has it he is in his old form #Chargers #SuperBowlCampaign2012

  • JamesPDerrick

Very much looking forward to watching our new #54!  Here’s to him terrorizing PManning just like ol’ Coop did!!!

    • http://boltbeat.com/ epadaon

@JamesPDerrick would love to see him get into peyton’s head!!! and then smash that head on the turf a couple of times while he is at it

  • arnie

i was looking to seeing Luis Castillo to have a bounce back season.

  • MikeTuck

@BoogaP The funny thing is it will probably be none of the above but someone we never expected to play as well as they do. Atari might surprise, a undrafted might surprise. I like the idea of Green really impressing us at TE and finding a blocking TE like Malauna next year. But I’ll make this wager, that before the end of the year are jaws are going to be dropping over Gates play and health. I think he is really going to be key to the offense this year and I’m a Malcolm Floyd Fan big time, but Gates is awesome when it comes to getting what we need!!

  • MikeTuck

@Davacho ; That won’t be a surprise to most Charger fans as we know he’s been solid as hell. What will be a surprise is if Pagano sees the other assetts barnes has besides Rushing the passer. I think he over ran a few running plays but this league isn’t patient enough anymore. Merriman and Phillips had to learn. Barnes given the snaps will force Johnson and Ingram to sit more than alot think.
