The guys over at the Arrowhead Addict made a crap ton of noise with that one post. The post scattered all across the internet and eventually made it up to A.G. Spanos.
You know it is an AWESOME blog post when it ends up in an email to the VP of a rival team. One little invite turned into a huge deal.
Here are comments from Chargers VP A.G. Spanos:
“This was an overeager sales rep, I would say, who was selling groups,” Spanos said. “He acted on his own without checking with his manager. We have sold to visiting fan groups in the past. We don’t proactively solicit them for new business. That’s not a standard practice of the Chargers. – SDUT
The Chargers have admitted to the mistake and did not comment on any disciplinary action. Now if we could only get AJ Smith to admit to his mistake…
