there is how good a player “can” be. and how good a player “is”. i’m a bolt fan, so i won’t be putting any RB over mathews. however i can not call him a top 5 RB until he”shows” it. if the money is on waiting to see who bounces back, or steps up, then it’s a three man race right now. Because 1) the O-line of the chargers is in a state of flux, good move on adding McClain. 2) this is the third year mathews has been talked up by the media and coaching staff. talk is cheap. 3) Norv is still calling the plays, and his best running play is, “UP THE MIDDLE”.

@pels04 i have the same issue with Ryan.. i jumped on the train his rookie year and got burned… so i am really hesitant to pick him up because of that
