Morning Dump

The Bolts have won 15 division titles in their history and the 2012-13 season should be another division championship for the Chargers.

Mike Scifres: I could have called this strength punting, but I didn’t want to include the punt coverage. Sure, the team made plenty of strides on punt coverage after an abysmal 2010 season, but I’m not ready to call it a strength. Scifres on the other hand is Pro Bowl caliber and should have made one or two if not for people loving Shane Lechler’s gaudy numbers he puts up when he outkicks his coverage.

The 2009 first-round draft pick competed in 11-on-11 drills for the first time in nearly eight months. The milestone was expected to occur during the first week of organized team activities (OTAs), but a minor groin injury limited him to positional work.

While some coaches would rather not lean so heavily on a single running back, preferring to disperse responsibilities more evenly in a committee attack, Turner doesn’t mind.
