The Chargers signed classically trained composer, Patrick Doyle. Doyle is known for his work in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Eragon, Rose of the Planet of the Apes and Thor (wikipedia)! Could you imagine Doyle putting together a nice soundtrack for the team during practice and then something to fire the guys up before games. If Norval is not going to fire the team up, then Mr. Doyle will!
Check out Doyle’s work on Thor (for some reason my wife loves Thor?):
Signing the composer Patrick Doyle might have been a little more exciting then the actual signing of Patrick Doyle the former USD Tight End. Doyle will be competing to make the team as a practice squad member. The tight end competition is already stacked with players like Antonio Gates, Randy McMichael, Dante Rosario and Ladarius Green. Doyle will be competing with Brad Taylor to make the practice squad.
Doyle was the USD team captain in 2010 and was the 2009 USD Offensive Player of the Year. He didn’t exactly play in USC or Oregon, but at least he was the most talented offensive player on this team. He is getting an opportunity to play some Pro Football and we will see what he does with it.
