Rex Hadnot will Compete With Green For Starting Left Guard Spot

Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

Rex Hadnot was picked up by the San Diego Chargers and will be competing with Tyronne Green for the starting left guard job according to coach Turner (Dan McLellan).

Rex was released by the Cards before we picked him up. I guess he HADNOT  impressed the coaching staff in Arizona! He HADNOT filled the expectations out there. He HAD-BETTER impress Norval if he expects to make it in the starting lineup. He would be counted on to work with the Big Lazy in order to protect Philip Rivers’ backside.

Hadnot was the starter with the Cardinals for all 16 games last season. He was drafted in 2004 by the Miami Dolphins in the 6th round out of Houston. The Chargers will be his 4th team.

This could be an interesting battle to watch in the pre-season. I still think that Dumbo will be in the mix for the starting job, but anyway… Green or Hadn’t?

Green! The Cards OL was terrible last year. Can he play RT?

@Boltbuddy he can play center… he can play right guard… that’s close enough right

I think its Green’s job to lose, he made huge strides after Deilman went down last season. Maybe try him at right guard and see if he has less false starts than Clary.

I wonder how much crap Rex gets about his name.
