flaky stocking stuffer article. Not LT. Powder blues are the best. Close games all the time isn't a good thing. Seau was great, but personally, I think a pinch overrated and there is an entire handful of Chargers I would put ahead of him......Fouts, LT, Alworth, Ron Mix, Winslow.

Why do I love the Chargers. Because they are the team of the town I was born and raised in and I love and played football.

And Mike Tuck, I am not saying anything bad here, but I witnessed too many times on t.v. and at the stadium live, when Seau left the field he would go straight to the bench right in the middle and sit down by himself and no one would come around him very often. He was definitely not a cheerleader ON THE SIDELINE. Like Rivers. Neither was LT for that matter.....

@ Joey Nicks; great piece except I'll have to disagree on LT. I loved his running ability and work for human kind off the field. But on the field when not playing he was a distraction. Runningbacks didn't want to sit close when things weren't t for the team or LT. LT was about LT and his touches. He wasn't there to cheer on his teamates when he couldn'/wouldn't play. That one thing tarnished him awfully. Seau was all about his teamates, Rivers is the same. When they're off the field they are the secound teams biggest cheerleaders. LT was not nor pretended to be a leader, he was all about LT. I dearly love the man and his ability but somewhere along the way he lost his team sight.
Powder blues, never change this as it is the Chargers colors. Not winning the big one, something to shot for for themselves and all the Charger teamates gone by without one. Close Games, lets hope Turner learns that DOMINATING isn't rubbing a opposing players/coaches nose in it. Offenses play to make TD's and that's what they do. But the way they never give up coming from behind is poetic.
And then there is Junior Seau, the man that Mr. Spanos and Smith sent packing without a tear. If one thing should drive the Chargers to greatness this season it's to win the one that Seau didn't get to, in spite of their owner, but for the greatest City in California. Seau was SD like the Chargers allways should be.
