Chargers Bring In Another Quarterback For Training Camp

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

The Chargers have brought in another quarterback into camp to help Philip Rivers and Charlie Whitehurst help get our receivers some reps. Former Texas Tech QB Taylor Potts is headed to town to join the Bolts in training camp (Courtney Davis).

Potts was signed by the St Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent last season, but he didn’t make it out of training camp. He will be competing with LSU QB Jarrett Lee for a spot as a third quarterback on the team. We have not had a third quarterback on the roster for the past 2 seasons though and both players will need to impress during camp.

Like u said Edub, The more QBs we have the more opportunities these new WRs have to “run” the playbook.

I am a huge believer of doing work in the classroom but I know I always learn better on the job.

@BoogaP man that’s the perfect analogy n I like how u thinc bro. I also like the idea bcuz its about to get to the point to groom another qb behind PR17. We are great at grooming qb’s outside of Leaf we do a great job of that. This is a great season for us simply bcuz we are undogs now which is obsurd bcuz any team with an QB like PR17 should get more respect secondly we are such a young team with alot of solid players . Bottom line we loocd lost on a lot of plays last season if we find a way to take a more cerebral approach on defense we will be better this is y the acquisition of JJohnson will pay dividends to our defense he is a very smart player and as an xraven I believe he will also make his presence felt n the lockerroom. We will have a descent d this season

Thx man.  Agreed abt the Chargers getting no love. I have an article that will be out either tonight or tomorrow about getting no respect!

I actually do like being in the role of underdog.

And your point abt JJ is spot on. My favorite thing that I have heard him say in interviews is that he leads by making plays and not by running his mouth.  We need some more players that let their play do the talking.  I have a strong feeling that Ingram is that way too!

        You’re my boy Bleu!
