The San Diego Chargers Week That Was…

Christopher Hanewinckel-US PRESSWIRE

Oh what a week it was for San Diego!

Unless you were dug way deep in a hole or something, you know the sad story of Junior Seau and how we lost a legend. We pray for his family and all the loved ones that were left behind. We love you and miss you Junior!

Now for the other less important things that happened for the Chargers:

The Chargers signed some depth for the offensive line with the signing of OG Rex Hadnot. Hadnot is 30 years old and will be entering his 8th NFL season.

Robert Meachem confirmed to the UT that he had offseason arthroscopic knee surgery at the end of last season. It won’t be too much to worry about and he should be ready by the start of the season.

Our draft picks were given their jersey numbers this week:

Melvin Ingram (No. 54)
Kendall Reyes (No. 91)
Brandon Taylor (No. 28)
Ladarius Green (No. 89)
Johnnie Troutman (No. 63)
David Molk (No. 60)
Eric Baker (No. 26)

The Chargers also released their schedule for the off-season team activities:

May 11-13: Rookie Minicamp
May 29-31: OTAs
June 5-7: OTAs
June 11-14: OTAs
June 19-21: Minicamp

And that is the week that was for our San Diego Chargers. I hope this coming week is much better than what we had.
