Suspensions for the New Orleans Saints players have been handed out today. The NFL sure knows how to space out all their news. Draft last week and suspensions for the big bounty scandal come this week.

Here is a list of the suspensions:

Jonathan Vilma – THE WHOLE SEASON
Anthony Hargrove – 8 games (now with the Packers)
Will Smith – 4 games
Scott Fujita – 3 games

Each player that has been suspended has up to 3 days to appeal their penalty. Adam Schefter says that all the suspensions will be appealed and the sources says to ”Get ready for a massive multiple legal battle over this on several fronts.” (@AdamSchefter)

The Chargers face the Saints in Week 5 and some of these players will be just getting back into the action and trying to work their way in the mix. Philip better take advantage in Week 5 against this defense.

Are any of these punishments too harsh? Or not harsh enough?
